Off The Boardwalk

It's fun to walk around Coney Island off the boardwalk and into the neighborhoods. It's so old school out here, here's a few photos from my walk.

Yikes, kind of a scary name for a hotel.

Somehow I think that "check out" time happens at all hours in here!

Ice, ice baby!

I love the old time store fronts out here.

Hot bagels and free phones? Such a deal, I'll take my phone with extra butter please!

Happy Valentines Day!

What's better Hot Bagels and Free Phones? Or Free Bagels and Hot Phones?

@Jason: Ha ha ha! I'll go with the free bagels, I'm not a phone guy!

@csp: I see a sequel in the works! Nice one!

Is there a good place to get Arizona Iced Tea in Coney Island. I couldn't really tell from your pictures.

@Randall: Ha ha ha! And no, Arizona Iced Tea is not sponsoring this blog!

At one time back in the early 80s some buddies thought it might be a good idea to start a combo copying center, AND bar-b-que spare rib joint.....they were going to call it (get yer Johnny Cash accent ready to apply here)....Country Copy & Ribs. For some wierd reason, they couldn't find any investors. For me, ANYTHING and Ribs works !

@DrBOP: I love it! I'm with you on ribs and barbecue, shame they couldn't find an investor! They could've used the copy paper as napkins!
