Good morning! One complaint I had at both 365 Bars and MAD was that I didn’t venture out of Manhattan that much. Well, the reason for that was I was going out after my job at night and didn’t really have the time. Now that this blog is my job and I’m going out during the day, I can get out of Manhattan more. Today I’m going to Brooklyn. I decided Friday’s would be a recurring theme day and I’m calling it: Casual Free Food Friday. Basically, every Friday I’m going to go to a bar that has free food available, hey I’m out of work, I have to start cutting corners somewhere! And today the bar is located in Brooklyn, hopefully I won’t get lost! But before I go, I’m going to have a moment of change. The first post will be up around noonish and you can see what’s going on then.

But first...some random headlines:

Roseanne Hoping To Prove It’s Easy Being Green
Best In Show Dog
Oodles of Poodles
Thrity Years of David Letterman

@GENE: I'm taking the Q, the M frightens me after our experience with it last year!

@Gidget: Shit, now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day! Aaaahhhh!

Yep that song is stuck in my head now - thinking about the Seinfeld episode where they played that song while showing Kramer's day getting up and going to his office job.

@JAZ: I thought of that Seinfeld episode too! I love it where Kramer's trying to get on the subway!

If it wasn't bed enough, I had this stuck in my head:
♫“Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door.
There's a giant doing cartwheels,
A statue wearing high heels.
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
A dinosaur Victrola listening to Buck Owens.” ♫

It was supplanted by:
♫ “My baby takes the morning train
he works from nine till five and then
he takes another home again
to find me waiting for him” ♫

Oh thank you so much, no really….

Amazing, to think, they wrote a song for you all those years ago, about coming back from Peoria. Weird karma. Charmed life. Strange brew.

@Michael: I'm all about the weird karma!
